Insomnia at Parents Home

» Personal — Jan

The stack of VCD borrowed from sis-in-law office libraryI shouldn’t have stayed over at my parent’s house. I couldn’t sleep a wink on the hard tatami mat, though my wife could sleep like a log. I tossed and turned on the bed until I finally gave up waiting for the sandman to send me to dreamland. (more…)

Staying over @ Parents’ Home

» Personal — Jan

Loh Sang for properity!Looks like I have to stay the night over at Bangsar house. Sigh! Sure wish I was sleeping in my own bed than on this make shift tatami style bed. Fortunately there’s air conditioning. Bangsar house is always rather warm. Too warm as I remembered it and it is not any different now. Especially during CNY the climate gets warmer.

Yeah, as usual we had the compulsory family reunion dinner. This time, my dad chose a nearby place to his house, The Bangsar Seafood Restaurant. The environment was conducive for conversation as it was not as noisy as the restaurant we went last year. But the food was not good at all. A far cry compared to my wife’s colleague wedding dinner. Perhaps all the good cooks went back to their home town left the inexperience cooks to make up the dish! (more…)

Alley Cats

» House Cats — Tags: , — Jan

The light grey strayThere seems to be many cats around the back alley these few days. Cats growling and howling at each other probably vying for a female’s attention or crossing path with other dominant males. Seems like Casper was able to hold his own ground. I didn’t see him running away like he used to. Casper had been his premium cat food pellet which the vet says will definitely give him bulk as compared with tuna can food. I guess he was right. Casper is a little bit bigger now, but he still demands for his tasty Japanese Careline tuna fish! Well once a day every evening and that’s it! He will have to settle his hunger with the premium food pellets. (more…)

Casper’s Bath Day

» House Cats — Tags: , — Jan

Fuzzy fur after the bath. Boy does Casper not like taking bath at all!I suppose all cats hate bath. Mine is no different, but I do need to give him a shower once in awhile at least to clean him up a bit, and wash off any potential ticks or fleas. Considering that he likes to roam around the neighbourhood a lot.

With the hot weather today, it seems like a good idea. After one of his afternoon romp, I took him into the bathroom and showered him as usual. Nope, he didn’t like it one bit as usual, but it was necessary. And I think he hated it even more when I toweled him dry. He made lots of growling noise and tried to run away from me. Just needed to dry him a little and he can lick dry the rest by himself.

With the hot sunshine, I put him out on the front porch. With the hot sunshine combined with his licking, I guess he would dry in no time. Guess what, even before he was dry, he decided to go gallivanting around already! No amount of calling him would get him back!

Oh well, hope he won’t soil himself unnecessarily otherwise another shower when he gets back!

Behind Schedule

» Personal — Jan

My Palm Tungsten T3 and Palm IR wireless keyboard at Coffee Bean in MidValley MegamallSo I’m a little behind schedule with my CHD website. I’m supposed to implement my bus schedule and Smokehouse article, but with all the recent church activities and Chinese New Year shopping and office work, I find little time to have a clear thought as to what articles to include.

Sure, I’ve collected lots of materials and I just have the idea at tip of my tongue but could not find the clear train of thought to write a clear sensible article for posting onto the website. Sigh! Well let’s hope God will give me a new beginning with wisdom and creativity and off course God’s favour for the success of the website. (more…)

Apostolic Prophetic Foundations

» Christ/Spiritual, Church Events — Tags: — Jan

Laying Apostolic Prophetic FoundationsWith the looming Chinese New Year just around the corner, traffic really was getting into a snarl for the past few days. Fortunately I was able to come back home early after making a sales call. I had been fasting since Monday and intend to carry on till Friday. It was just a simple fast, having some breakfast and fasted till late afternoon/evening. The purpose for this fast was seeking salvation for unsaved family members, to have child, and financial freedom from work drudgery. This was not a full fledge fast as I still get to drink water which helps. Seems to work, especially on work, orders seem to come by smoother. Hope it will continues as I try to find the time to work on my website. (more…)

Casper’s Late Night Prowling

» House Cats — Jan

Casper is pretty restless and always wants to expand his curiosity with his usual daily roaming around the neighborhood. However, his sense of direction is rather poor. If he went out of the house from the back, he would return the same way. If he went out through the front door, he must return back the same way. He did not know how to find the way back from the back alley. And if he somehow found his way from the back alley to the front of the house, he would not be able to go back from behind. (more…)

Of Prophesies and Grace

» Christ/Spiritual, Church Events — Tags: — Jan

The meeting hall in Grace KlangIt was a big crowd at Grace Klang. My wife decided to bring along the parent-in-laws to witness firsthand what it is all about. Unfortunately my parent didn’t want to come saying they were tired and it was too far away. My mom is a Catholic and my dad an atheist weren’t very keen to come for any Christian rallies. Someday they might come to the Lord, but sadly without any convincing victory in my life, and it is difficult to persuade them to accept the grace of God. (more…)

50 Hours Praising, Praying, Prophesying and Preaching

» Church Events — Tags: — Jan

50 Hours Praising, Praying, Prophesying and PreachingIt’s been a long tiring week! My church, Grace Assembly had a visiting Prophet named Victor Kusi from Ghana who had favour and anointing from God. He was able to accurately see into a person intended future as the Holy Spirit reveals things to him. Whenever a service was held, the church becomes pretty much jam packed with people hoping to find out what God has in store for their future.

Not every prediction or advice given was good. Some were bad omen and should be prayed against while others are answers to peoples’ question as to which direction they should take. (more…)

LG Flash Drive Kaput

» Computer Devices — Tags: — Jan

“They don’t make equipment like they use to.” That’s what most people say nowadays. I feel it is quite true too. Seems like 1 out of 10 electronic device or component that I buy ended up with some defect or something. And the latest casualty is my wife’s LG 512MB flash drive.

The flash drive went dead during one of her business trip. She was afraid it was something she forgot to do like shutting down the device to safely remove it from the USB port. Well, she shut down the laptop before pulling it out, which should be fine since the power to the flash drive would have cut off. (more…)
