Business information is rather important in any job or transaction. The role of business intelligence is very important not just for survival of business but also for the day to day business negotiation and transaction. And when there is a lack of vital information available, misjudgement can occur and can be very costly to the business.
Sometimes the lack of available information makes it very difficult to make any proper judgement. And if your position of your company is that of trading where the many products sold are based on agency rights, then your business position is precarious indeed. (more…)

Do you make your own web site or make a blogging web site? What is the purpose of blogging anyway? There is a difference between blogging and building a web site. Blogging is linear, it has no structure while a web site has a pyramid form where people can navigate to find relevant information. In terms of usefulness for people visiting a web site, a proper structured web site would be superior to a blog.
If you plan to make money from blogging, it would require a massive effort. You get some good pages with good incoming links and traffic, but mostly you get lots of bounce pages and for those visitors who linger, most would just read that post that was relevant to what they were searching and off they go. You won’t see them again.
Blogging has very high bounce rate. It is quite common to see 80-90% or more bounce because most of the posts do not fit in to what people are searching for. Once a visitor drop in, and find the whole web site is not quite relevant to what they are searching generally, they would just pop right out again. (more…)

A friend commented, “Wah! You got so many web sites! Heard that can make money from blogging. Wanna try too.”
Well, it is not as simple as that. If it were so, I would have been a rich man by now. Sure it is no harm trying. Especially if you can build a web site for free using free service from Google, Bravenet, Yola, Geocities, etc. But in the end after making some post for some months, not seeing any results, with very paltry returns, the-would-be-webmaster call it quits and that’s the end of that. Looks like CNY is just around the corner. Almost everybody is winding up their businesses especially factory production. With the looming gloomy economic climate, many factories has taken this opportunity to extend the CNY holiday for a week or more in an effort to reduce production overhead cost. Some has even decided to cut employees salary as a move to reduce expenses. Though family reunion dinner celebration is a must, it looks like a mixture of “glad to be still alive but have to tighten belt” to face an uncertain future.
It is unfortunate the world economy has to centre itself on the biggest consumer market namely the USA. Whenever their economy goes down, so does the whole wide world. The cycle of wax and wane of the world economy has a very predictable pattern which no one seems to bother except the academics. It roughly follows a 10 to 11 years of boom and bust cycle. Some scientist even wonders whether it has something to do with the solar cycle activities which also follows a 10-11 year cycle. Strange coincidence indeed. The world’s economy is like a bubble, it just need a flashpoint to trigger it and the house of cards would just come tumbling down. (more…)

Web sites are quite useful tools to help out in your work. Making one shouldn’t be too difficult. For the uninitiated, it is a complete a mystery to them. And that’s where the web designers charge an exorbitant fee for their services. And yes, it can get pretty technical if you want build a web site with all kinds of features and widgets. For the truly great looking sites out there, those are done by professionals and created by advertising houses whose clients has big budget for graphic design and marketing. For the rest of us, be it small businesses, home business, part-timers, and hobbyist, that kind of budget is definitely too heavy for our pockets. (more…)

I was pretty much conked off after my sales trip to Johor. Long distance driving to say the least was very tiring. Nevertheless I still managed to pull myself out from the bed after alarms went off and my wife called me on the phone to come over quickly for help to carry the goods over from the church to the SS14 field in Subang Jaya.

Lily came up with a bright idea to organize a jumble sale to kick start the accumulation of funds for the eventual hope of building our very own Grace USJ building. Mind you the amount is no small matter, but we are believing that what might not be possible in the physical will be possible in the Spirit if God is willing. All we need do is just step out in faith, in prayer and hope for the best. (more…)
