Streamyx is slow again

TM’s streamyx service is getting bad again these past week. Looks like more kvetching about their lousy broadband service. With WIMAX looming to be launched, I wonder how’s their internet service in comparison with all the pretenders out there vying to get a piece of the internet service provider market. Read more »

Praise the Lord and the law of attraction

Is it human nature to complaint and murmur? Perhaps that it is so. We can all be very pessimistic about life in general especially when life is giving us frustration sometimes caused by ourselves and sometime by our family members, friends, colleagues and people in authority over us. Taking the example of Exodus of God’s chosen people, they too complaint about their situation to God and Moses for taking them into the harsh condition of the desert, even though they have escaped from their cruel Egyptian masters. Brain Damaging Habits

Received this via email about brain damaging habits. As usual, any incoming chain mails should not be read at face value. Since it did not state where its source of reference, we can only read it for understanding and not believe too much of it until some additional proof that what was stated here is indeed correct. Like a poem I read somewhere, “A little learning is a dangerous thing. - Alex Pope.” Read more »

Electricity or Energy Power Saving Device – does it work?

Here’s an interesting post in the BU4 community forum about electricity / energy power saving device. I have come across people selling these so called energy saving devices but was not sure of its effectiveness. With the escalating price of petroleum leading to higher cost of using electricity, we can be quite tempted to buy or install some device that would somehow reduce our electric bill. However these devices are over hyped and this is one myth worth busting.

Potential Phising site

If this is not a clear case of a website phising for id and password then I don’t know what this is. Every now and then my MSN Messenger buddies will pop a url link to this imgeshack.info website. The website is really simple, just a page requesting you to key in your MSN id email and password. It has no relation with another website called imageshack.us. Read more »

Juseleeno (Jucelino) Nonulega Da Roose Future Prediction

One thing about prophecies including the Juseleeno (Jucelino) Nonulega Da Roose prediction, you have to take it with a pinch of salt. Nothing is certain about the future. As Albert Einstein said, “God do not play dice” because He knows with a great amount of accuracy what will happen in the future, but if it has not happened, it is not written in stone until it happens. Fraud from bank ATM machine dispensing folded cash notes

I received this message from my BU4 Resident Yahoo group. It seems some insider within the bank is out to defraud the general public by folding RM50 note in the ATM, and when dispensed, it will count as two notes. Whoever did this inside the bank now get to keep the RM50 at bank account holder’s expense. Read more »

How’s the economy?

A lot of things whiz by very fast nowadays. If Einstein space-time theory is anything to go by, time seemed to have speeded up. I found myself with less time to do just about anything; having to squeeze in time a little here and a little there to get things done. No wonder people we are getting so stressed up in life! Shop-house churches must get permits

This is rather sad state of affairs. Government is using rules and regulations to curb the Churches expansion. The fact was, they didn’t even notify either via the media about passing this new legislation. They quietly passed the bill and could easily wreak havoc by saying all the Churches in shop house are now illegal and they have just cause to close them down, unless they apply for permit. Should the permit be refused by placing all kinds of restriction, then what? Read more »
