Shop-house churches must get permits

This is rather sad state of affairs. Government is using rules and regulations to curb the Churches expansion. The fact was, they didn’t even notify either via the media about passing this new legislation. They quietly passed the bill and could easily wreak havoc by saying all the Churches in shop house are now illegal and they have just cause to close them down, unless they apply for permit. Should the permit be refused by placing all kinds of restriction, then what? Read more »

How crooks do their phising for credit card details

I received a suspicious phone call. A man claimed to be calling from HSBC saying that as a prompt paymaster I will receive a platinum card and a welcome booklet that will enhance my credit card experience. So I said ok. And he proceeded to ask for my HSBC number and expiry date.

The way he asked was very strange Read more »

What do you think?

What do you think? Whenever there is clash in opinion would you obediently follow what management says or would you rather strike out on your own on a limb and do what you feel would be correct in your own eyes?

The world is imperfect. And so are organizations. Whether it is business or military, they are composed of humans who are fallible basing judgment on their own experience and understanding and laced with emotion and private agenda. Read more »

Are our authorities getting more corrupt?

For the part that our current Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi was on the go to go after corruption in the country after he was elected several years ago. It was a much lauded and welcome move to clean up the government act. After a year or two of very active cleaning up, it has become very quiet lately. There doesn’t seem to be much news about rooting out corruption lately and worse, as a man in the street I could see that corruption is rearing up its ugly head again. Read more »

Never use EMS Poslaju National Courier, ever!

I was the recipient of one Lucky Draw, a winner of Creative ZEN Neeon 6GB MP3 player when I threw my name card into the lucky draw pile in the recent National Achievers Congress 2007.

I was using the law of attraction as expounded by the Secret DVD by thinking and receiving an MP3 player be it an iPod or any other. And I thought it was working when I received an email in my inbox informing that I won the lucky draw to my surprised joy. Read more »

Could such a thing be possible? I have not been able to access any Google website including my Gmail since Friday. I thought something was wrong with my Linksys LNE100TX LAN card, but I was very sure I installed the drivers correctly. So I tried other sites like Dogpile, Yahoo, MSN and the pages load up without a hitch. Read more »

One day at a time

It was a quiet week at the office. Japan is having their Golden Week holidays and we have our Labour Day and wesak day holidays coinciding. That meant at my end only working on Monday, Thursday and Friday.

Having attended the Olivia Newton John concert at Genting Highlands Arena of Stars on Sunday. I took a half day leave from office on Monday. Still felt tired from that short simple trip to the highlands. It was really cold and foggy up there. But it seems the weather is really odd nowadays. Alternating with a hot sunshine and culminating into brief but thunderous showers. The end times must be near now that the whole world’s weather system has gone haywire. Read more »

More hacking and tweaking my website

Either I enjoy just tweaking the website instead of really building it or I’m just plain old procrastinating from writing articles. Whatever, it is not good to do just that because I’ll not be adding additional articles. And search engines are just that, they love articles addition to your web site. Content is king as they say and Google, Yahoo, MSN, etc are just that. It means that your web site is alive and kicking when articles are constantly being added. Read more »

Me? I’m just trying to promote my website Cameron Highlands Destination Cuti Cuti Malaysia as a page where one can find good info about travelling in this place. Still trying to get more traffic, just like those retailers, where traffic means more sales potential. Being an infopreneur is no easy task. But I guess I just do it as a hobby for now. Who knows? Hobbies has a tendency to become full blown income earning jobs. Read more »
