Two point perspective can be used in your photo composition for buildings or objects where you might want to show its shape and structure which would otherwise be lost if you were to shoot the picture head on. <\/p>\n

A frontal shot of a building would just show a very flat image with no hint of its structure. That doesn’t mean the picture is not good. If your desired effect is to show flat two dimensional image to show off the symmetry of the building or emphasize the texture. It still can be used to good effect.<\/p>\n

A more interesting approach would be to angle yourself to the corner of the building and create a two point perspective where the converging lines of the building or structure would meet at two points. If you imagine the lines and extend it from the object, very likely the meeting points of the converging lines would lay outside the frame of the picture. Most often the converging point is not the subject point for the eyes to rest upon, thus it is not necessary to have the vanishing point to be part of the picture. The idea here is more of showing the object at angle in a two point perspective angle.<\/p>\n
