I think I really messed up my Windows Vista installation yet again. Without using Dell PC Restore, I found out to my dismay that some drivers were missing from a clean reinstall of Windows Vista and was not included with the CDs that came along with my Dell Inspiron 1501 package.

To kill a bird in the bush I had to ravage the whole forest so to speak. My McAfee VirusScan Plus was having a conflict with the pre-installed trial version of Norton anti-virus despite the fact that I uninstalled it before installing McAfee. (more…)

I have been keeping an eye out for an affordable laptop for a long time now. I felt there was a need for a proper portable computing power to do some of my article writing and blogs. Many a times I get stuck with nothing to do while in my parents-in-law house or even in Raub where my aunts stays. My wife, Lena agreed too and sympathize with my plight. For her she seems to have many things to do in my in laws house or even at my aunt’s place sorting and rummaging stuff, throwing out old junk for the earth of us we have no idea why the old folks want to hang on. Those junk were sitting in the store room or cabinet just lying there gathering dust. About time to move it out and salvage some much needed storage space. (more…)

Lately I seem to be acquiring several hardware equipment from upgrading my LCD display, a not so free Creative Zen Neeon MP3 player, a laptop, and an MP3 FM transmitter.

Now the last item was an interesting purchase. It cost about $20 (RM60) and it works by plugging a flash drive into its slot and plugging the whole contraption into the car cigarette lighter where it gets its power.

By tuning the car radio accordingly to the MP3 FM transmitter broadcast frequency and voila! You got yourself an inexpensive MP3 player right in your car without having to change the car stereo that can play MP3 music. (more…)

After a long, tiring running around chasing for prospects, attending to suppliers and driving long tiring distance, the last thing I wanted to see in my phone text messaging are comments from boss saying you shouldn’t do this, you shouldn’t do that, etc. He is beginning to get on my nerves. It’s been only one year, and the true colours of my boss are starting to show. With nobody to keep him in check would he be the next emperor in my little branch office? (more…)

I was the recipient of one Lucky Draw, a winner of Creative ZEN Neeon 6GB MP3 player when I threw my name card into the lucky draw pile in the recent National Achievers Congress 2007.

I was using the law of attraction as expounded by the Secret DVD by thinking and receiving an MP3 player be it an iPod or any other. And I thought it was working when I received an email in my inbox informing that I won the lucky draw to my surprised joy. (more…)

Life shouldn’t be so busy until there is not enough time to do the things you like or even to clear up the daily chores. It was one heck of a fortnight starting with National Achievers Congress (NAC) 2007 on the 21st & 22nd, followed with a business trip to Jakarta on the 24th & 25th and finally with World Internet Summit (WIS) from 26th to 29th of which I attended three days out of the four days.
